>Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) since 2006. The main research activities are directed on the characterization and application of organic semiconductors in opto-electronic devices. Where liquid crystals, polymers and elastomers are investigated.
Research interests:
The research activities are focused on the field of condensed matter physics by investigating organic and hybrid materials for application in optoelectronic devices such as OLEDs (organic light-emitting diodes), OFETs (organic field effect transistors), OPVs (organic photovoltaics) and biosensors. Among the materials are liquid crystals, polymers, small molecules and organo-metallic complexes. Particular interest in nanostructuring processes, surface treatments and thermal annealing as a way to modify and control the photophysic and electrooptical properties of the materials applied to devices. Coordinator of the Laboratory of Organic Opotoelectronics and Anisotropic Systems (LOOSA)
Researcher of the National Institute of Organic Electronics (INEO).
Researcher of the Capes/COFECUB projects (803-14) and (937-20).
Coordinador of the brazilian team of the project with the European Union: OCTA-Organic Charge Transfer Applications (#778158), H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017.
